Mustang Mop-up is an honored tradition at Heppner High School. Following a 2-year hiatus due to Covid, the students and staff of Heppner Jr/Sr High once again sported matching shirts and hit the streets of Heppner providing community service. A few of the many tasks completed included spreading gravel at the Little League field, edging tombstones at the cemetery, stacking firewood for an elderly couple, and outside maintenance at Willow Creek Terrace. The students and staff are physically rewarded with lunch and ice cream, but the joy in seeing the results of their hard work far out-weighs the tasty treats in the cafeteria.
