Have you heard about One School, One Book? This is a way to get kids excited about reading, by reading the same book for the entire school. The ACH "One School, One Book" Little Bear book was chosen because of the friendship theme. During these challenging times, we can all use more friendship!
As I asked students around A.C. Houghton, what is the best part about winter? Santa, presents, and snow were the top answers I heard. Sledding, building snowmen, baking and family time are definitely important! Another great family activity is reading together. So, here at school, we have purchased a book for every student and we are going to read Little Bear’s Special Friend by Claire Freedman! Follow along with your child as we read this book together in December.
