Emergency Communications
The safety and security of MCSD students and staff is of utmost importance. To ensure that every parent or guardian has the most accurate account of situations regarding safety, school closures and weather alerts, parents must keep their contact information up-to-date in Tyler.
During a developing situation there may be periods of time that information is slow to release to families. As soon as we are able we will do our best to update families.
SMS Text Messaging
MCSD utilizes Alerts to deliver text messages with important information regarding safety, school closures, and school events. This is the fastest way to receive emergency updates from MCSD.
Phone Call
The district and campus buildings will utilize phone calls for important updates regarding weather delays and school closures, attendance or other important information. It is important that your child's campus has accurate and current information on file so that we can contact you as needed. If we do not have valid contact information on file, you could be missing important notifications.
MCSD utilizes Alerts and Tyler to deliver emails from the campus and district level with information regarding weather delays and school closures, safety alerts, upcoming events and more. Please do not rely solely on email for emergency communications.
Social Media
MCSD utilizes Facebook to share updates regarding safety, school closures, weather alerts, and general school news and events. In addition to the district, each building has their own Facebook page.
